I work in an architectural firm and typically I design everything in Photoshop. I’m a self-taught graphic designer which, naturally, created a lot of problems and inconsistencies.
However, I’m a professional and by far I think the best program in this area is PS. PS has an amazing and powerful editing tool, virtually unlimited ways to save, practically no limits to the amount of layers it can handle, incredible features for printing in high resolution (even though it doesn’t say so), and, obviously for image editing, among others (I haven’t used the last most important features yet).
This feature allows you to create a 5 x 5 inch box (10×10 cm). You can choose a different color for border, fill, etc. This area can be changed according to your needs. If you select the square tool, you can also control the size of the image and your work area.
Next, it is useful to use a number of brushes at any one time. Brushes are the way to add texture and improve the overall appearance of your photos. You can also adjust the opacity and size of your brushes. Also, you have to set the threshold check to make sure your brush doesn’t bleed over any areas you don’t want it to. You can also select the eraser tool to remove unwanted eraser parts from your brush.
The Tone Mapping feature allows you to find and fix uneven color. You can simply click the “Auto” button to automatically detect problematic areas of your image. Once you have corrected the color of the specific area, apply the Quick Fix which is a quick and simple way to share your new look with others.
