The most important thing is that Lightroom is designed to be an all-in-one image editor. This may be way too complicated for some photographers, but, for me, it’s ideal. Lightroom works as an image editor, but it doesn’t get in the way with a bunch of smarts and Photoshop’s less-than-stellar export process. There is no need to run Photoshop in Windows when you have Lightroom.

Where to find most commonly used tools: The Brush group of tools typically appear at the very top of the toolbox. The Lighter and Dimmer tools are used to modify the reflection and shadows in your document. The Shadow Slider is a great way to add more mood to your images by modifying the reflection, shadows, and highlights in your image. Another great part of this is that you can access this tool without having to click on the Shadow option first.

How to access commonly used tools:
