There are new organizational features for better management of images and project files. Changes to PSE’s settings and user interface aren’t as extensive as one would expect. This certainly shows Adobe’s intention to maintain a light yet powerful application rather than adding the “bells and whistles” people quickly start to add as projects grow.

On the whole, this update is clearly aimed at PSE users who like them so simple to use with easy but powerful functions. There’s nothing wrong with that. I think if you’re looking for the most cutting edge in the latest on the market, you’d probably be disappointed in the free version. For example, you’re not going to find quick fixes to common problems like the one I noticed in the update: you won’t see any way to zoom in near the end of a project, Quick Fix shortcuts don’t seem to be added in, nor do you have any way to change the tool bar (though you can add a new one if you’re that far up in the project).
